Rio Grande Identity finds Tom Hastings traveling to Texas with his new friend Samantha. They meet some new people, some of whom are there to take financial advantage of gullible Winter Texans. How much money do Tom and Samantha invest? Who is behind the ponzie scheme?
The reader meets a neat Assistant Attorney General of Hidalgo County by the name of Delia Dela Rosa. She leads the investigation and eventually involves the Texas Border Patrol.
