Blue Darkness takes place in the lake country of central Minnesota.
It is the first in a series involving the main character, Tom Hastings.
The story is about the murder of
a retired x-CIA agent, who had hired Hastings to assist him in writing his
memoirs. Tom Hastings gets especially involved when one of his business
cards disappears from the agent's desk during the murder.
Border's Lake where Hastings lives,
is located near the small town of New Dresden, which becomes the center of
the action relating to the crime.
